The Roller Hockey Radicals by Matt Christopher is a wonderful and an interesting book.It is about a little boy named Kirby who moved to a new town with his parents. He wants to make his own choices, but his parents were so over protective and didn't aloud him to play on the street. His parents asked him to find a safe place, where he can play with his team hockey. At the end of the story Kirby showed an excellent work and made his parents proud of him. This is a realistic fiction and a multicultural book. The illustrations are very effective and it talks about safety and protection. Also, it shows the important of having a positive model in any child's life.

The Best Worst Brother
I would like to recommend a wonderful book called" The Best Worst Brother" by Stephanie Stuve-Bodeen. The book has bright and colourful pictures , fun, and easy to read for young children . I would suggest reading this book to Kindergartners or first graders as a great way to discuss and relate the story to their own experience or about anyone they know who has similar situation as the character in the story. It is a multicultural book that shows the relationship between siblings , especially if one of the siblings has down syndrome. As a reader of this book you will definitely enjoy read it to little children. This book is about love, caring, and understanding of others situations . It could be an excellent lesson of how to care and feel toward others problem. Also, it shows the meaning of the family and how they work so hard to assist their own son and create a positive atmosphere where he could learn from others with love.

The Meanest Thing to Say
Author: Bill Cosby
Illustrated by: Varnette P. Honeywood
This story is a fiction, multicultural , and picture book.
Summary:The teacher welcomed and introduced a new student to the classmates. His name was -Micheal Reilly. He seemed to be a trouble maker student and he liked to bother other students. During the recess time , while Little Bill and his friends were playing basketball , suddenly Micheal Reilly showed up and suggested to play unfamiliar and new game; it called playing the dozens. This game was about saying a meanest thing to particular person.
When Little Billy went back home , he told his parents about the new game that he learned at the school and about the new student that he met today. His dad told him a good idea that would keep everyone happy and satisfied . He said" If anyone tried to tease you, just say so" .
In the next day Micheal started to tease him , but Little Billy kept saying so,so,and so. They started to laugh and since then they became a best friends .

What Mary Jo Shared
Title: What Mary Jo Shared
Author: Janice May Udry
Illustrated by : Elizabeth Sayles
I really enjoyed this book and I recommended it for children's literature. This book is about a shy little girl who wants to share something with her classmates , but she did not know what to bring with her to the classroom . She wants to share something unique and special. She kept thinking and thinking until she decided to share her father and introduce him to the classmates.
Everyone in her class liked the idea and admired her unusual idea! She surprised her teacher and her classmates and gave them a new idea of what to share in the classrooms and how to have a creative thinking . I liked this book for many different reasons : It is a multi-cultural book and it is well-illustrated . It helps the child to be creative and use his/her imagination to reach their goals or destinies.
